Each year, we pick up christmas trees from the community and print them to be recycled.
Scouts earned the rifle merit badge while shooting targets, playing cards, and mentos. To finish off the day, a timed competion of shooting steel targets from 10 yards to 120 yards.

5 Scouts and 4 intrepid parents shook off the dust from their gear and went troop camping for the first time since lockdown! Perfect weather and an amazing array of activities at Camp Tahosa, including: kayaking, fishing, orienteering, and hiking. So fantastic to be back in the wild!
The Scouts of Troop 73 did a brilliant job with their annual summer Palisade Peach fundraiser. Together, they raised nearly $1,000 which was split evenly between the troop and each Scout's adventure account to be used for camping fees, gear, and membership dues.

During Summer 2020, with Summer Camps cancelled and restrictions in place, the Scouts of Troop 73 carried on! We worked through the Wilderness Survival merit badge, which included some innovative use of lawn decor for backyard survival nights.
Service projects come in many forms! Some of our Scouts took part in a Boulder County Open Space reseeding project this summer.
Some Scout service projects are large and require large groups. Some require a single Scout who seems a problem and decides to go pick up the trash! 1 mile of Frontier St. picked up!

Camp Patiya near Boulder is one of our favorite quick getaway spots. It includes an awesome gaga ball pit and access to the Walker Ranch open space hiking area.

Living in a landlocked state doesn't present a challenge to the Scouts of 73 when they make due with an incredible adventure to the Denver Aquarium for a guided behind-the-scenes tour and merit badge session.
